I noticed these images were saved as a draft I never got around to posting. I can't recall if I shared some of these in another post, so forgive me if there are some repeats in here. These are some character designs I was working on a while back. The project hasn't been realized, so I won't say too much about these drawings, other than they were drawn in pencil and colored in Painter.
Enjoy.

Everyone clamored to find your blog in my friend circle after Supergirl this week. Nicely done. I got to be all like "oh, yeah, mean, I've been on that bandwagon for a little while now." Also: the twins (assuming that they are, & not just messing around with colours) are great, as is the first girl with her huge forehead. The boys are a little emo for me, though the first one could pull it off.
Thanks guys,
Mordicai, the boys are way too emo for me as well, which is part of the reason this project didn't get off the ground. I'm so out of it, I only recently learned what "emo" is supposed to be nowadays, and when I tried to draw it, I couldn't really get into it. No matter how much it might reflect the real world and the things people wrap themselves up in, I have always struggled to draw contemporary personalities and fashion. Everything strikes me as so immediately dated that I lose interest before I am done drawing. When I drew NYX for Marvel, it was a similar struggle. I much prefer characters and settings that are somehow removed from time and place, usually by fantasy, so that hopefully the story will remain after the "cool" kids move on to the next thing. In any case, thanks for getting your buddies to clamor for the blog.

awesome stuff as always! I am soo glad the postings are alot more regular now:D
Oh, they're beautifull!
You're a great comic master!!
The last character is lovely.
NYX had a dreamy sort of thing going on with the colours that floated the "insta-date" problem, which yeah, is pretty spot on. You do the covers for American Virgin, right? I will have to take a look at them...I've got a friend who swears it is good (I just can't fathom how, though I look forward to being surprised).
great arts
the guy in black reminds me of brett anderson...was that intentional? cool style throughout ...
After some struggling getting a handle on Painter, you renew my hope. Amazing stuff, even in spite of the emo boys. I can completely relate with the fashion issues - something especially about drawing baggy jeans gets me immediately disinterested.
Also, your little videos are awesome. (hint, hint.)
this is look beautiful, sir!
you are amazing!
